nottingham trent reviews

Nottingham Trent university is a very welcoming and understanding place. The league table is ranked using 867 review scores from current students across 20 university halls and 49 private halls. The student body is both friendly and fun and the facilities on offer are second to none. The university is focused on their students, by offering service to support both academic and personal issues, as well as listening to what the students want, and implementing this whatever they can. I personally find the university great, the facilities we have access to are endless. Student union is great. Think both academic (tutors/feedback) and personal (counselling, etc). The best part of the course was definitely the freedom to do what you wanted for your final year project, but this was also kind of the worst part. Do not waste your money. This was a phenomenal workload and just a really bad idea. Fantastic resources, fantastic teachers, and a fantastic sense of community. Lecturers are great and the campus is amazing. Thanks. Though the cheapest halls are definitely out of the city centre, the buses in Nottingham are /incredibly/ good and reliable, so buying a student pass for the bus is definitely worth it - a lot better than the trams, which break down very often and are typically way more unreliable. The university provides great support for students and there is an unbelievable amount of societies clubs and sports teams to become a part of. Love it, wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Sometimes the computers can be relatively busy, however, and the quiet zones aren't always quiet. Not enough computers in the libraries. We spent a lot of time in second year, however, /still/ doing period clothing - I know it's often a large part of a costumer's jpb, but we didn't get taught any design theory whatsoever. The wifi is great amazing speed and connectivity. Campus is massive, students union is great in organising stuff to do, Really enjoy being in the city at the centre of everything. Trent has loads of societies and when I say loads I mean LOADS and the best part is want to form a society of your own? Read our reviews written by students for students to find out. The City Campus is also home to innovative learning spaces including The Hive, the University’s centre of entrepreneurship. The University’s Confetti Campus is spread across the newly built Digital Media Hub and Metronome, as well as Space2. Counseling support and student support services are very good. Student union, better than most night clubs in other places. SOMETIMES getting good seminar tutors are a matter of luck. Do you want to know if Nottingham Trent University is a good uni? Lots of societies that son sport, dance, socialising, learning and crafts. Nottingham Trent has various entry requirements for different subjects, with English language proficiency needing to be proved by an IELTS result. As I received the minimum student finance, I had to get a part-time job to fund food etc. It is a fun, sociable uni. And we definitely have the best SU in the country. It's true that the costume industry /mostly/ values working quickly, but little emphasis was placed on exploring different areas of costuming (historical reenactment, cosplay) where this might not be the case, with detail and accuracy being valued more. I would thoroughly recommend Nottingham Trent. they are very good, the library is kitted out with all the books needed for the course and has many areas on campus to work comfortably. NTU Review. Our library is open 24/7 so students always have the opportunity to access the library resources. It is very clear that the university has oversubscribed, so there are students literally crammed into every crevice of every available study space. Fantastic location, I can be hungover and roll outta bed and still be on time for lectures! It's a perfect uni really, isn't missing a thing. 3. The clifton campus is slighly out of the city and there is not too much student accommodation close by, but the bus connections are great so it is not a problem if living in the centre or somewhere in between. The students are great but the wi fi at brack will direct you to the "students com" website all the time which is annoying. NTU has everything on your doorstep and everything to make your student life amazing. I struggled to make friends during my first year and didn't find anyone to gel with. Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities? However, i find the club options are very limited to some extent with only one dance club and not too many general interest clubs to join. Even if the problem was out of your hands, the impression I always got was that I was failing under temporary circumstances it would be easy to just Pull Myself Out Of. Amazing city, campus so close to everything you need and facilities couldn’t be better. Very good uni for anyone who is unsure, especially if you're on city campus! Hi, thank you for your feedback. Amazing uni, great student support for all. •campus is completely dead... nothing to do other than walk about or go to the bar. The City campus has an excellent location, but I know that students from other campuses struggle with that. Students are encouraged to get involved in a whole host of extracurricular activities including sports, music, volunteering and social events. But I really wish my time at university had been better. Good online workspace, great facilities and location. Thought there would be more societies availible, Nice uni, very friendly and supportive staff with plenty of enthusiasm. Very easy. Great university with all the essential services covered, more over a thriving, diverse community with many different interests. Terrible experience living at this accommodation. Boots library is definitely my favourite! The facilities are modern and well equipped for what is required. I'm so glad I chose Trent, and it will be a decision you won't regret, Good atmosphere, literelly right in city centre, lots of night not places, Amazing uni with amazing facilities and opportunities for all students, Class Uni, enjoying men’s hockey club and students union is extremely good. Always made to feel comfortable within the walls of the campus. - Students can expect the same standard of teaching, learning resources and support, and learning will be active and collaborative with work experience and volunteering opportunities available for all students. Nottingham Trent University Reviews. It was my first time leaving home which gave me a lot of independence and I’ve found my course really fascinating! Very mixed uni with a good student mix. Nottingham Trent is in a good, central location being in the city centre of Nottingham. Amazing. Local halls close to all campuses and some a great for the price. Overall, the university provides a wonderful ambience for studies as well as for living. The minute you ran into a problem, you /were/ the problem. Sports facilities here are second to none they have a broad amount of sport teams which means what ever ability you are accommodated!! How would you rate the variety of societies/sports? Brackenhurst is an amazing campus and is very popular with our students! At one point, when I outlined that I needed a quiet space to work, I was offered access to a changing room that was little more than three walls in one side of the classroom, with a curtain that had to stay open at all times, no roof to block noise, no access to it in the second half of my third year and no choice but to leave whenever someone wanted to come in and use it. a real feel good place, cant say much for other campuses but since using the city library in second year can say that the library is really well kept and i love the rooftop garden! I was really struggling and felt very alone and actually got reached out to by the university and offered help and couselling straight away. NTU has such a wide range of opportunities and experiences available to all its students, I love it here. havent really been to the su much apart from su nights in freshers. Thank you for your time! I'm interested in this university! One recommendation for new students is to avoid Byron Block A and B - it get very loud during freshers and Saturday nights. A brilliant University, in a fantastic City, I always hated the idea of going to university but since coming to Nottingham Trent I actually love it. I've had a great experience and met many close friends. The teaching was the best. - NTU is working in close collaboration with its partners at Nottingham Trent Students’ Union to rethink how the University approaches the social aspect of university life, whilst keeping all students and staff safe. Lovely staff, very helpful resources, fairly pleasent atmosphere, lecturers are helpful and nice, students union are always happy to help. Fab people, All facilities are new and accessible, something for everyone and the whole uni is buzzing with life. Great experience, lovely modern campus, everything is accessible, well organised, amazing atmosphere. Nottingham Trent Student’s Union (NTSU) boasts over 160 societies and clubs and the venue itself is the perfect place to socialise with friends in the day and party by night in the buzzing 2,000-capacity club. If you struggle with noise and crowding like me, it soon becomes obvious thst you're only going to get work done at home - even though being in a classroom environment with good lighting (none of the halls have good lighting) and access to technicians is pretty essential and conducive to learning.
